THE TRINITY Synopsis -
The Trinity is a supernatural thriller pilot following Trinity Sanderson, a dedicated pathologist whose life unravels after being terrified by unexplained visions of Joshua Leeds’s victims. When Joshua, a powerful businessman, unleashes a new dimension of ruthlessness through mind control, he sets out to acquire all of Earth’s energy resources. Though she doesn’t understand why she has been chosen, Trinity must confront her fears and stop him—and though she doesn’t realize it at first, she is not alone. Hidden forces and unexpected allies will emerge, each playing a vital role in her fight against him—before it’s too late.
Directors Note -
This film, The Trinity, has been in the works for over 10 years. Since I was a young boy, I was fascinated by the idea of how one could take over another’s mind. This film, a work of fiction, is inspired by that childhood fascination. It also draws on some real-world geopolitical tensions tied to energy—conflicts over oil, gas, water, and fossil fuels that have spanned generations. While entirely fictional, my faith in God was an inspiration as well, though it only subtly underlies the story. Rather, it is a creative reflection on how personal curiosity intersects with global forces. At the end of the day, if you need to ask one person to turn the lights on, that man is the most powerful person on Earth.
Fun Fact -
The character Joshua Leeds in The Trinity is subtly intertwined with the real-life legend of Titan Leeds, a Philadelphia publisher and contemporary of Benjamin Franklin. After being tied to a paganistic almanac, Leeds mysteriously died shortly after, fueling the legend of the Jersey Devil. The tale is rooted in the Leeds family of Leeds Point, but the legend also spreads to Smithville, both located in Galloway Township, New Jersey. This dark, historical intrigue adds a hidden layer to Joshua’s own enigmatic legacy.
